Back in 2010, singer-songwriter Kris Anaya and producer and multi-instrumentalist Joseph Davancens teamed up as Doombird for the release of a full LP featuring a twelve-piece chamber orchestra. Recently, they shared a new track, “The Salt,” ahead of the release of a new record: “Past Lives.”
The album, which will be their official debut, was conceived in the foggy hills of Stinson Beach, California with the help of other musicians, such as Mike Sparks, Aram and Arlene Deradoorian and Dusty Brown. Be ready to linger on existential questions with clockwork Krautrock sounds and oceanic ambient textures.

The first single, “The Salt,” is a solid offering where Kris Anaya’s singing acts as a guide while taking a walk along a foggy and dreamy seashore.
