moonvine’s newest single “catch me if you can” is out now via Headroom Records

Berlin duo moonvine just dropped a new groove-driven and playful dance track, “catch me if you can.”

The single is only the second release of the project, made up of siblings Selina and Dennis, but it already has established a catchy and attitude-led dynamic that’s been garnering attention on TikTok and elsewhere.

cherry spice by moonvine

Just like the duo’s “cherry spice” single that was released this spring, “catch me if you can” pairs restless club energy with cheeky lyrics. Selina’s vocals focus on elusive summer moments between connection and escape while Dennis’ polished production features swinging drums and a deep bass.

On top the original version of the new track, moonvine also released “a main floor version” and an “afters version,” to explore different moods and moments with the song.

Check out all three versions and the video for “catch me if you can” below.

“Knight in Shining Prada” is part of Overmono’s second album Pure Devotion, out August 7 via XL Recordings

Overmono just dropped a profoundly heartfelt new single, “Knight in Shining Prada,” featuring writer and artist, John Joseph Holt.

The U.K. duo, brothers Tom and Ed Russell, crafted the song using a voice note that Holt sent them in honor of his late brother.

“My brother Thomas Edward Holt had an incredibly adventurous soul that inspired everyone around him,” Holt wrote in an Instagram post. “He took his own life on January 10th, 2017, aged 31. There is no easy way to say that. You bury the pain deep in your heart and the words get stuck in your throat when you try to speak, as the world carries on around you… To make something so positive out of something so crushing is the greatest gift, and I can’t thank Tom, Ed and @williamaspden enough for bringing this song into existence.”

“Knight in Shining Prada” is a standout single on the duo’s upcoming album, Pure Devotion, coming out on August 7 via XL Recordings.

The Russell brothers said they worked on dozens of versions of the single before settling on one they wanted to put out.

“About a year ago he sent us a voice note with a spoken word stream of consciousness that just completely floored us,” they wrote. “We played John’s vocal as loud as we could and sat there with a prophet and 303 listening to it over and over again as the sun came up and the first version started to appear. 83 versions later and it’s done.”

Other tracks on the album including “Lockup,” “Even Angles Ghost,” and “Gem Lingo (ovr now)” have also been released and showcase some of the experimental production techniques that Overmono has adopted, including playing a synth through an old train station speaker, blowing up speakers and baking a crash cymbal in an oven.

Check out the new single, video and upcoming tour dates below.

Tycho and Sea Lemon's “Anotherwave” is out via Mom+Pop in the U.S. and Ninja Tune elsewhere.

Tycho and Sea Lemon dropped a dreamy ambient single this week, “Anotherwave”. The two West coast-based artists teamed up after Tycho’s Scott Hansen said he heard Sea Lemon, a.k.a Natalie Lew, on the radio while driving late at night.

“I was driving through, like the Central Valley and, and Eraser came on and I was just like, what is this?” said Hansen, in a Instagram Live conversation about the song on Wednesday. “I had these few songs that I really felt like needed this really specific kind of vocal treatment. And it just really was like, well, that’s it.”
Hansen and Lew then traded ideas back and forth through Instagram and ended crafting “Anotherwave”.

“When Scott (Tycho) reached out to me and shared this song, I instantly felt a connection to the underwater-like quality of the sounds and textures,” added Lew.

The duo have done some incredible work on their own in recent years, with Lew’s debut 2025 album Diving For a Prize and Hansen’s 2024 album Infinite Health. Tycho has released a series of impressive collaborations over the last few years with a series of artists including ODESZA, Maggie Rogers, Little Dragon, Leon Bridges, and Death Cab for Cutie.

Check out the new single on YouTube and Bandcamp below.

The Avalanches' new track “Every Single Weekend” is out now via Modular Recordings

The Avalanches and Jamie xx came together again this week and gave us a taste of summer with a new track, “Every Single Weekend.”

The plunderphonic pioneers and English producer skillfully weaved together a beautifully upbeat song, alongside a satirical beverage ad video (produced by Jonathan Zawada).

If the single sounds familiar, that’s because it was originally was featured as an interlude on Jamie’s 2024 release, In Waves. They also collaborated on “All You Children” on the album.

“We’ve loved collaborating with Jamie xx over the years – his In Colour album reignited our passion for sampling, and this track is all about letting go, forgetting the 9-5 grind and enjoying every single weekend,” the group said in a press release.

The single came just two weeks after The Avalanches released “Together,” featuring Nikki Nair, Jessy Lanza, and Prentiss. No word yet on if a new album is in the works but are certainly hoping for one.

Listen to both new singles below.

Sofia Kourtesis’ mix is out now via Berlin-label !K7

Electronic producer Sofia Kourtesis has kicked off the DJ Kicks mix series once again with a beautiful set that takes listeners on a journey from Peru to Berlin. The mix features 21 tracks that are about the different sounds and emotions that Kourtesis’ carries with her and are a celebration of her musical journey across the world.

“This series has meant the world to me ever since I moved to Berlin and really began DJing,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “So being invited to contribute feels surreal in the best way. The mix is a celebration of the music that shaped me, tracing a journey from Peru to Berlin and through all the cities I’ve been lucky enough to play along the way.”

The tracks transition from dance-fueled peaks to softer, personal moments of introspection for Kourtesis, shaped by the grief she felt after losing her mother. The mix includes four exclusive tracks that Kourtesis created herself including “It’s You,” “Texas Changing,” “A Brief Look In Your Eyes” and “Los Poemas No Siempre Riman (DJ-Kicks),” which she recorded with Afro-Peruvian group Novalima. Other music from talented producers that we at HighClouds love are also featured on the mix including Jon Hopkins, Daphni (Cariobu), Myd, Axel Boman, Avalon Emerson, Nick León, and many others.
Danny L Harle's highly anticipated album, Cerulean, is out now via XL Recordings.

Legendary pop producer Danny L Harle released an incredible new album on Friday, Cerulean, and it truly exemplifies why he’s become one of our favorite artists working in electronic music today. The album is “a voyage into vast, alien sonic landscapes” and highlights Harle’s ability to fuse together elements of rave, trance and classical sounds. And it reflects his lifelong fascination with beauty, wonder, and the unknown.

His incredible skill shines bright through 13 songs on the album alongside voices new and old to him. It features Dua Lipa, PinkPantheress, Clairo, Caroline Polachek, Oklou & MNEK, Julia Michaels, Kacha (from the electro-pop group Coals) and even one of his own daughters.

Harle, aka “Huge Danny,” considers Cerulean to be his true debut album, following up his 2021 release of Harlecore, and is promoting it as his most definitive artistic statement to date. The album does sound like it comes from another world full of sounds that are certainly welcome to human ears here. “I love how it feels on the threshold between dreams and reality,” said Harle. “There can be a scene where there’s nothing alien in it, but it feels like a portal to something else.”

Cerulean feels like the next natural chapter in Harle’s storied career, which began in the 2010s when he emerged from the PC Music collective and went on to work with some of the biggest names in pop including Charli XCX, Carly Rae Jepsen, FKA Twigs, Florence and The Machine and many of the voices featured on the album.

Check out the full album film, out via NTS YouTube, and tour dates below.

London-based duo Yawning Portal released their stunning debut ambient pop album ‘Anywhere’ last Friday, via YEAR001.

Yawning Portal, the duo, made up of Jess Mai Walker and Joseph Ware, has worked on the project over the last three years across two continents. It was crafted as a nonstop listening experience that explores the theme of untethering during our hyperconnected times. It’s described as “music to levitate to” and it certainly feels that way the further lost in the album you get.

All 15 tracks were clearly a labor of love and all that time paid off. From ‘In Iowa’ to ‘My City,’ ‘Video’ – every single one is a standout. Each one unique is imaginative, dynamic and incredibly interesting.

Listen to the dreamy album below and be sure to also check out their show on NTS Radio, Under Sleepy Moon, that features expansive deep ambient and pop mixes.

“Telephoning from Safari” is just the latest single off of Juliana Madrid’s upcoming debut album, via HeavyRoc Music.

Indie pop singer-songwriter Juliana Madrid released a new poignant single today, “Telephoning from Safari” that opines on society’s descent into herd-like primalistic behaviors. The Texas-born and Brooklyn-based artist’s song is a self-reflective critique. Madrid sings about how people in the modern world are now mirroring the lives of animals in a zoo, who are trapped behind technology.

“Telephoning from Safari” is my take on modern technology and human disconnection,” said Madrid. “Social media started as a really gorgeous and easy way to connect with family, friends, and strangers, but now it seems to have replaced real life interaction altogether. I think more and more people are unknowingly trapped behind their screens. It’s easier to ignore/feel desensitized to the chaos around us than to empathize and create meaningful relationships and experiences. This song is an attempt at putting a spotlight on that chaos.”

Her enchanting voice is beautifully interlaced throughout the single over laidback melody with a guitar that evokes a very 80s vibe. This is Madrid’s second killer single of the summer. “Jamie,” that came out in early July, is also incredible and is already featured in our Best Songs of 2025 playlist. Both songs are part of her yet to be announced upcoming debut album. Check out both songs below.
