Back in 2011, Stockholm’s artist Tobias Isaksson was giving birth to his solo music project Azure Blue. Recently, the band shared a new indie-pop and new wave-infused single via Hybris. Discover “New Moon”, which features Tangela, below.
Tobias Isaksson is part of the alternative soundscape of Sweden. Indeed, the artist has been active since the mid-2000. His career notably enabled him to get a Swedish Independent Grammy Award for Best Album in 2012 or to be called “The Sweden’s gentle new wave king” by The Fader.
Azure Blue‘s “New Moon” is an addictive and frenzied new track that is rhythmed by crazy drum machines and hypnotic synthesizers. The atmosphere is resolutely pop and according to the press release, the song is supposed to be “like the soundtrack to a perfect date, assuming your perfect date is crashing kites in slow motion and reading short plays about love side by side in a dark room.”
