Billie Eilish‘s new song, “Six Feet Under”, is released on Darkroom/Interscope Records.
14-year-old artist Billie Eilish is just a teen but she is about to shine bright in 2016, and probably long after… Following up on her debut single “Ocean Eyes”, which gathered more than 11 million streams all over the world in a minute, the Los Angeles songstress has just returned with a brand new song titled “Six Feet Under”. This release marks her debut on Darkroom/Interscope (Does it really surprise you that she got a label deal with so many streams?).
Produced by her older brother Finneas, “Six Feet Under” is a graceful ballad with a haunting melody. Dealing with the dawn of a relationship and teenage romance, the track draws a surprisingly dark parallel with death, as its title suggests it. Funny thing, the track starts with “Help, I lost myself again” which will maybe remind you of Sia‘s gloomy track “Breathe” (“Help, I have done it again “), a song particularly important in the HBO series titled… Six Feet Under.
About her heartbreak ballad, Billie Eilish explained:

Help, I lost myself again
But I remember you
Don’t come back, at home and well
But I wish you told me to
Our love is six feet under
I can’t help but wonder
If our grave was water, by the rain
‘Cause once was blue
‘Cause once was blue
Again
We trace my lips
You raise your touch
You talk too much for me
But all well like smoking air
How can you die carelessly?
Our love is six feet under
I can’t help but wonder
If our grave was water, by the rain
‘Cause once was blue
‘Cause once was blue
Again
They’re playing our song
They’re letting us die tonight
And all of these clouds pulling us back to life
It’s cool as the night
Six feet under
I can’t help but wonder
If our grave was water, by the rain
Uuh uuh uuh
Uuh uuh uuh
Again
Help, I lost myself again
But I remember you
