Oh my HighClouds, the beard man Chet Porter released a new single this time on Foreign Family and it’s a fresh poppin’ dose of sweet sweet nectar for your ears!
Chet Porter‘s reimaginings of other songs early in his career inspired me to take a step back from my grey, jaded lifestyle and dive back into the peachy childhood of my youth, at least for a couple minutes. Through the clutter of SoundCloud polluted with future bass remixes and white man trap music, Chet Porter’s music stands out because of its lush, uncomplicated tones and ability to make something sound progressively big and intimately small at the same time.
This coolcat went on tour with Odesza, Big Wild, and Jai Wolf in May, which was lowkey called the “Am I In Foreign Family Yet?” tour. It was during this time that Chet + management got more closely in touch with the Foreign Family team.
Three-ish months later, and finally Chet Porter and Chelsea Cutler‘s “Stay” has been released on Foreign Family.

Sweetly emotive, quietly nostalgic, and comforting in its warmth, “Stay” will make you remember there is more than just workworkwork and routineroutineroutine. Watch a sunrise, kiss someone you like, play hopscotch with the kids sometime; do something impulsive before the moment passes. Chelsea Cutler’s feathery voice is filled with promise as she toplines over gentle guitar plucks and big-sounding synths. By the end of “Stay”, listeners will have felt like their mind has been lifted from its burdens for a little bit.
With the release of “Stay” also comes an announcement for Chet’s North America tour, which encompasses a whopping 35 dates (if I counted right). He’ll be on the road and probably in your city with Jai Wolf, Floozies and Lemaitre and you can purchase tickets now.
