For fans of 90s R&B bands such as TLC or En Vogue, London-based boy-girl duo Girlhood recently released a new track: “Say It”.
The track, which was premiered by Julie Adenuga on Beats 1, is in line with their groovy debut “My Boy”. “Say It” is described as “an anthem for all of us to break free and celebrate the wonder of human hearts and minds”. It’s quite ambitious but you can expect at least a good dose of vibes and great souvenirs from your adolescence. By the way, yhe artwork is also a real time machine.[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/311169125″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]
Girlhood is the duo of Christian Pinchbeck and Kenyan-born Tessa Cavanna. Their influences are ranging from Lauren Hill to Barry White, from Dean Blunt to The Avalanches but the guitar will also remind you of iconic bands such as TLC… which is obviously marvelous!
