[su_dropcap style=”simple”]A[/su_dropcap]fter her mixtape “BUT U CAINT USE MY PHONE”, that was highly inspired by Drake‘s banger “Hotline Bling”, neo-soul queen Erykah Badu is going to do it again. Indeed, she just released her own version of Kanye West‘s new track “Real Friends”. The cover, titled “Trill Friends” [rough mix] should be featured on an upcoming mixtape: “THIS $h!t TOO EASY”.
Her version of Drake‘s song was one of our 100 Best tracks of 2015. Here, once again, she delivers a very good track by taking the song to a totally different place. Based on the original beat, the artist repeats the same parts of the song in loops that, at the end, work as hypnosis and deeply catch you. The two versions are at the end very different.
