Listen to K Á R Y Y N’s ‘Moving Masses’ taken from the opera ‘Of Light’

Syrian-Armenian-American sonic and visual artist K Á R Y Y N collaborated with American director Samantha Shay for the opera ‘Of Light’. The new track, ‘Moving Masses’, is taken from it.

K Á R Y Y N is one of the most interesting electronic producer of the last months both by her sounds and story. Indeed, the artist who was born in Alabama and raised in Indiana has also a close link with Syria and especially Aleppo. Although it might not be related to Syria’s story, it is useless to mention that the title of this new track, ‘Moving Masses’, has a particular meaning.

K Á R Y Y N‘s ‘Moving Masses’ is taken from ‘Of Light’, an opera that she created with American director Samatha Shay while she was a student of famous Yugoslavia-born artist Marina Abramovic.c The show was recommended by Björk herself after she attended its premiere in Reykjavík.
