“Good Girl” is taken from KARLITA‘s 5-track debut EP, Lazydayz, out now on clipp.art.
Hailing myself from the South of France, I’m always happy when I write about an artist coming from the same region. Based in Montpellier, DJ and producer Carla Galmiche, better known as Karlita, has grown up surrounded by the trip-hop, ambient and lounge compilations of her parents. These atmospheric textures and floating pads are at the heart of her debut EP, Lazydayz, out now via Australian label and tastemakers clipp.art. Dance-y yet somehow soothing and meditative, the project combines melancholic vibes and lo-fi and deep house grooves. We particularly fell in love with the hypnotic “Good Girl” but we highly recommend to listen to the whole EP on Spotify.
