Musician and post-disciplinary artist Liyv shares today a new synth-pop spell that draws as much from early-Grimes ambient-pop soundscapes than from Far East cultures. Driven by an almost military rhythm section and yet so voluptuous, her new offering “Pink Twisted Lungs” is a diaphanous and fragile layering of celestial vocals. As often with the artist, the meaning of the song remains cryptic but her production opens the door to so many personal interpretations.
