“Spin Me Again” is taken from Midnight Prisms‘ upcoming EP, New Age Disco, out May 3.
Back in 2020, Midnight Prisms warmed up our lockdown with “Picture of the End.” The singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and vinyl DJ – real name Alicia Beck – has recently returned with another dreamy new track, “Spin Me Again,” confirming her penchant for vintage equipment and 80s synths.
“‘Spin me again’ is an ode to the repeating patterns of self-sabotage that wreck havoc in romantic partnerships,” she explains. “It’s an anthem for anyone on a journey to freeing themselves from the patriarchal roles they have been conditioned to abide by in this society.”
The single also announces the release of her new EP, New Age Disco, which is a collection of emotionally charged revelations about love, relationships, and personal growth, all written through a spiritual lens.
