Moon Panda debut animated visuals for dreamy and trippy cut “On The Attack”

“On The Attack” is taken from Moon Panda‘s upcoming debut EP, Pastel Pools.

Two weeks ago, Moon Panda delighted us with their Portishead-esque single “On The Attack”. With this dreamy and trippy new offering, the band, founded by Californian songwriter-bassist Maddy Myers and Danish guitarist Gustav Moltke, was documenting the struggles of long-distance relationships. About the track, Myers detailed:

Going back and forth between self-reliance and feeling like an unattached wild animal, chasing affection and adoration. Waiting for a text back, a call, some proof that I’m missed. Hopefully, it outlines that chaos that can happen inside you when you just want that warmth and acceptance.

There is now a stunning accompanying animation, courtesy of Charlotte Spies, and we’re so happy to premiere it today. Metaphorically taking place in a desert, it features sandglasses, snakes, and other mythological and protean creatures which seem to embody the challenges, longing, and woes of such a relationship. Stay tuned for more Moon Panda‘s music and watch below.
