Moses Sumney announces new EP, shares “Rank & File”

Moses Sumney‘s new 3-track EP “Black In Deep Red, 2014” is due out August 10 on Jagjaguwar.

Following up on his 2017’s excellent debut album “Aromanticism”, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Moses Sumney is going to drop a brand new EP next Friday. The 3-track project, which focuses on power and its mechanisms, seems to mark a new sound approach. About this new release, the artist detailed:

Moses Sumney has also shared the closing track “Rank & File”. Inspired by his attendance at a protest rally, he notably repeats the lyrics “Now I don’t care what i’ve been told” in a call-and-response style. According to a tweet of his label, the artist was already playing this track back in 2016. Listen to it and pre-order the EP below.
