We don’t know more than you about this new Copenhagen duo named OWMI.
Copenhagen’s up and coming duo OWMI debut today with their hybrid track “Slipping” where they draw as much from Dirty Projectors‘ harmonies and weirdo pop collages than from Vampire Weekend‘s afropop influences. Their soulful and intricate groove, made of hand played instruments and crafted with the use of technology, also incorporates French vocal samples in the background, making the final rendition even harder to pin down. We don’t know much about OWMI but this debut single is the proof that the still anonymous duo has a lot of things to express.
