We discovered him with “Berlin” in 2013 and since then, RY X has already come a long way and confidently emerge from the shadows. His debut LP “Dawn”, which was released through Infectious, received very good reviews and the artist is also a very good performer.
The Australian artist is going back on tour in the US, Canada, and Europe (full itinerary here). He will also release a new version of his LP on November 4 that will obviously feature the single “Howling”. The track is actually released as a double A-side with a brand new song: “Thunder.” Besides all these announcements, “Howling” just got a video treatment.
It was a deep hope to bring the same sense of sensuality and raw heartedness to the video that was surrounding my life when I created this song. Howling is based around the emotional connection and impact of past lovers into the present space. About the way we hold onto their energy and carry it, and them, with us, into new relationships, and into our lives even as we grow. I collaborated with dear friends on this piece with artist Elena Stonaker creating visual worlds, choreographer Nina McNeely for dance, and the three lead women in this are dear friends of mine.
