Amsterdam duo Secret Rendezvous, formed by singer Sietske Morsch (aka Sisi) and producer/guitarist Rami Lauw (aka Sausbei) have released a track and its accompanying video titled “What About Us”. The new track is off the group’s forthcoming album due in early 2017.
The track is electro-pop infused with a sprinkling of soul. Sisi’s voice stands out with its power piercing through with each note alternating between storytelling and rapturous hook. The duo clearly work hand in hand with Sausbei’s production complementing Sisi’s voice with his stellar R&B with an electro-pop style alloyed with well-crafted guitar lines.
The animated-video to “What About Us” was directed by Ninthe, a singer and also doubles as the sister to R&B crooner Mar, but who has now flown on a tangent towards animation under the name of Nepanto.
