SmCity - Black Moses (feat. Planet Asia )

Here is the lead single off of SmCity‘s latest “New History EP”. The track is called “Black Moses” and features Planet Asia.

As explained in the press release, “Black Moses” speaks on many themes including the mass incarceration of black men and the general lack of common freedoms for oppressed people. On the song, SmCity even slyly touches upon a different kind of slavery, one born out of record label contracts:

“Black Moses” is taken from the “New History EP”, which was released early September. The 5-track project comprised was produced by Grammy-nominated producers Cookin’ Soul. You can it stream it below or buy it on iTunes. “New History EP” is actually the follow-up to SmCity‘s 2014 project “Empire Falls”.
