Another stunning track from Smoke Season: “When the Smoke Clears”! It is taken from their new EP “Ourboros” and it packs a punch. “When the Smoke Clears” continues Smoke Season’s dramatic sound and is another stellar track as they continue to grow as a duo. The track starts with a stuttering electronic beat which starts your intrigue, they then take you on a powerful journey as the song builds, rises and falls. Passionate, flowing vocals are layered on top of a funky bass line before being stripped back in the chorus. The gentle change of tempo throughout also keeps you glued.

Smoke Season have not only created fantastic tracks for their new EP “Ourboros” but they have collaborated with APLUSFILMZ to create short story which accompanies each track.
Even without the accompanying video, “When the Smoke Clears” is emotive but when paired alongside a thought provoking short film we are treated to a “beautiful artistic project”. The imaginative project is a testament to the talent these two possess and the desire they have to share it with you as a listener and a viewer.
The video to “When the Smoke Clears” focuses on a tormented soldier and the struggles he faces when returning after war. Each of the short films and tracks focus on a particular issue and make you question and ponder as you watch and listen.
