“Pull It Together” is the first single taken from Someone‘s upcoming Orbit EP to be released on [PIAS] Recordings.
Amsterdam’s multi-talented artist Someone, aka Tessa Rose Jackson, is readying the release of her upcoming Orbit EP, the follow up to her 2018’s Chain Reaction EP. According to the press release, this new project will focus on our overstimulated and notifications-greedy generation in the age of social media. Her psych-pop songs will also come with an interactive Augmented Reality exhibition that combines cutting edge technology with hypnotic art. A multidisciplinary universe to be presented in her town of Amsterdam but also in London, Berlin and Paris.
The first single “Pull It Together”, which is already available, draws as much from the epic psychedelism of Tame Impala than from the dreamy coziness of French acts like Air and Melody’s Echo Chamber. With a chorus that is just as addictive as the social media and technologies she is pointing out, “Pull It Together” sounds like a perfect introduction to the topic. Tune in below.
