[su_dropcap style=”simple”]N[/su_dropcap]ot gonna lie, at 17 I had some serious trouble figuring out what I liked to do, who I was, teenage angst etc etc. Yet consistently now in the world of electronic music, a handful of young hot teenage producers have continued to stun with their mastery of what they do. Such as Wheathin!

One such producer goes by the name Wheathin. At 17, he has his shit together in the music industry better than most. I only very recently jumped on the Wheathin fanclub train, but with a SoundCloud profile accumulating over 7 million listens and killer remixes under his belt, there’s no doubt I’ll be watching this kid like a hawk this year.

Influenced by the sounds of Flume and ODESZA (which, I have to add, is most people nowadays), the artist’s musical style is a blend of chill hop and future. Wheathin’s rework of the original “10 Victoria’s Secret Models” infuses MAX’s smokey voice with a spirited snare and epic synths.

Taking a listen to the original track will tell you that the energy levels for both the original and remix are comparable. However, I have to say that the remix definitely gives the original a more future sound. Wheathin’s drops are insane, and this remix does not disappoint here either, and the drop helps to elevate the chorus.

Overall, the producer has once again given our eager ears a new remix to talk about. I feel like it’d be pretty hard for me to rank which one of his remixes are my favorites, what about you?
