Copenhagen-based duo GENTS share the video for their track “I Wanna Be Free” taken from their album “About Time” released

Copenhagen-based duo GENTS share the video for their track “I Wanna Be Free” taken from their album “About Time” released last April.

Taking influences from 80s synths and pop culture in general, the Danish duo don’t hesitate on taking serious subjects such as loneliness, lack of power or love, with a touch of fun. Like only Scandinavians know how to do it. Their tone is refreshing thanks to their characteristic bareton vocals and their intense production. About the video and the track, GENTS explained:

[su_quote]

The fragmented collage-style is an interesting visual companion to the song, in which you’re thrown directly into lots of different situations and contexts. There are so many different characters and narratives seen in brief snippets that you can continue to pursue for yourself. That’s one of the best things about both music and film – that you can keep dreaming up the rest of the story, and make it your own.
