Yesterday, after a series of tweets where ABRA explained to her fans she had been sitting on too many songs lately, the artist decided to share a new track on her SoundCloud. “B.R.A.T.” is produced by Father, her fellow Atlanta’s rapper who also heads Awful Records. To be completely honest, there is just one “Green Light” that exists in this world, and it will always be Beyoncé‘s one. Taken from her album “B’Day” out in 2006, the track is a pure product of the best of Bey’s repertoire. And we could say the same about Madonna‘s “Ray Of Light” which is her best album to date. In the R&B/hip-hop genre, we selected Kanye West who was at his top with his track “Flashing Lights”, Snoop Dogg in “I Love to Give You Light” who sampled “I Come That You Might Have Life” by Andraé Crouch and The Disciples, XO with the mesmerizing “The Light” and Mykki Blanco‘s violent “White Coke, Starlight”.

To take a step back and calm ourselves down, Abra‘s “Lights Interlude” that features Archibald Slim will give life to your nerves, while M.I.A “Lights” will wake you up again. Peaches in her track “Light In Places” will make it shine in your private parts and Santigold, when her name was Santogold, will make you dance. God knows we are huge fans of Shura, and it all started with her track “White Light” that was one of our favorite tracks of 2015. Clairity is in “Love In The Light”, while Jessie Ware has her “Night Light” watching over her.

Angel Olsen is putting the “Lights Out”, taken from her album “Burn Your Fire for No Witness” and Satellite Mode are putting “Warm Fire Lightning”. Taken from their debut album “The Bones of What You Believe” out in 2013, CHVRCHES sing how the light comes from the sky, Artic Monkeys, on their side, how “Red Light Indicates Doors Are Secured”. As often, Placebo get a bit depressed “In the Cold Light of Morning”. Talking about depression, here is a pill of The Smiths with “There Is A Light That Never Goes Out”. Lastly, let’s finish with another “Green Light” with Sonic Youth.

Then, it turns into an underground urban anthem. The dark wave duchess ABRA is in great shape on her last captivating track “CRYBABY”! And we won’t complain about it! Get ready for some inspired 80s vibes!

The track, that she wrote, produced, and performed is a synth-R&B gem that meets the spirit of her previous tracks. Nevertheless, CRYBABY sounds more developed and complex. The bass line is killing us and ABRA‘s vocals are particularly on point! The reverb gives the track an underground sound and there is also a sexy break! What more can be said?

In this beautiful song, you can see Abra getting into her relationship with a ball and with her boyfriend. She looks completely astounding and when the wind blows her hair you feel like the wind is also taking you in sync with the music. We love her music so much that her track “U Kno” got the 61th position of our top 100 of the best songs of 2015.
