Dornik, who was a bit more mysterious about his identity some years ago, is signed to PMR/Island Records with who he released his self-titled debut LP in 2015. Since then, he was featured on SG Lewis‘ single ‘All Night’ and produced ‘Amazing’, a track from The Internet‘s member Syd.

Dornik has been retreating back and working in his studio and ‘God Knows’ is the first track of this new era. About his collaboration with the band Jungle, he detailed:

[su_quote]’God Knows’ is a track which was fun to make. Jungle, who I am a massive fan of, came to the studio and we literally just got into a vibe. The track is very loose and there is intentionally no real structure – You can kinda receive it how you want to.[/su_quote]

He also added:

[su_quote]I also have to give a big shout out to Anderson.Paak who has really inspired me and this track. I absolutely love his vibe and everything he is doing.[/su_quote]

In the SoundCloud description, Futon mentions that he really wanted to flip .Anderson .Paak‘s freestyle and this is his end result. It’s definitely a change from the usual type of mainstream electronic stuff Futon makess, and refreshing is to say the least.

Meant to tingle the senses with its suave assortment of guitar rifts, stimulating combination of percussion, and even the appearance of a funky whistle here and there, this bootleg is a serious gem that does the original freestyle extreme justice.

“99,9%” is Kaytranada awaited debut LP, the talented 23 years old producer kept amazing us with each of his releases and collaborations, but it’s his real time to shine with that album which features many great artists such AlunaGeorge, Craig David, GoldLink, Syd and many others. In his latest single, he’s teaming up with Anderson.Paak to deliver a real blast “Glowed Up” a Hip-Hop and RnB track, as the song has two parts. The video directed by Bo Mirosseni, who also directed “When A Fire Starts To Burn” by Disclosure, shows Kaytranada‘s dreams and desires as he’s going crazy in a strange party with friends and then chills on a mattress floating in the middle of the fake nature.

The original track, that the multi-instrumentalist co-produced with Carassius Gold, is a soulful and emotional pop ballad. The remixed version let some room at the end to the Californian rapper, singer and drummer who brings a new climax to the track.

Indeed, this is with a lot of ease and groove that Anderson .Paak performed while dancing “Am I Wrong” and “Come Down”. The singer and producer also showed off his skills as a drummer. He paid tribute to David Bowie at the end of “Am I Wrong” by covering a short part of “Let’s Dance”.

We already know some songs from this 16-track new project, such as the excellent “Room In Here” with The Game and Sonyae Elise. The artist knows exactly how to raise the excitement. He just released “Come Down”, a banger that should get everyone to agree.

The track was produced by Hi-Tek and is super groovy and uplifting. In a way, it reminds us the funky vibe of Kendrick Lamar‘s “King Kunta” and enables the Californian artist to show that he can easily surf from R&B to hip-hop.
