[su_dropcap style=”simple”]R[/su_dropcap]y Cuming, that you probably know as RY X, is an Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist that notably broke through the music scene with his amazing track “Berlin” already two years ago. His voice is emotional and intimate and when he sings he is like a ghost which speaks personally to you, even if the room where he plays is crowded. The artist is back with “Only”, a thrilling and soft track that was recorded live to tape LA’s Pulse Studio. The track was premiered on Annie Mac‘s Radio 1 show.

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]O[/su_dropcap]ui! French electronic duo Cassius is still alive. Despite the fact that they didn’t release any album for 10 years, they are still making music as they premiered yesterday a new track on Annie Mac‘s Radio 1 show. Big surprise: “Action” features Cat Power and Beastie Boys‘ member Mike D.

The duo, which is actually composed of Philippe Zdar and Boom Bass, could maybe release an album this year but there was no official announcement so far. Zdar, who is notably known for his work as a producer for major artists, worked with both The Beastie Boys and Cat Power in the past. But still, this single remains surprising. The track is a good comeback one and has a powerful retro disco vibes. It doesn’t sound too electronic or too commercial, like the average “Toop Toop” that was released ten years ago already. “Action” is authentic, brings you back in time and gives the envy to shake your coconuts on the bongo rhythm!

Mike D told Pitchfork that “The song came with this world liberation theme and then I came with a modern-day relationship theme, and somehow the two went together. It’s kind of like toast and Vegemite go together only in Australia.”

The singer just shared a new version of her single “Touch” during Annie Mac‘s BBC Radio 1 show. This new remix features the Brooklyn-based rapper Talib Kweli. AND it also has a new version of the video WOOHOO!

Shura recorded most of her album at home, she has been working on this album for over two years. The album is coming this year and is called “Nothing Is Real”, because as we know Shura is a complete nerd.

Obviously the LP will contain the previous version of “Touch” and the new one as a bonus.
