Two weeks ago, Moon Panda delighted us with their Portishead-esque single “On The Attack”. With this dreamy and trippy new offering, the band, founded by Californian songwriter-bassist Maddy Myers and Danish guitarist Gustav Moltke, was documenting the struggles of long-distance relationships. About the track, Myers detailed:

[su_quote]Going back and forth between self-reliance and feeling like an unattached wild animal, chasing affection and adoration. Waiting for a text back, a call, some proof that I’m missed. Hopefully, it outlines that chaos that can happen inside you when you just want that warmth and acceptance.[/su_quote]

There is now a stunning accompanying animation, courtesy of Charlotte Spies, and we’re so happy to premiere it today. Metaphorically taking place in a desert, it features sandglasses, snakes, and other mythological and protean creatures which seem to embody the challenges, longing, and woes of such a relationship.
