Kill J release debut EP “Quasi”, share new single “Coda”

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]D[/su_dropcap]anish drone-reptilian pop artist Kill J has reliably developed a singular musical universe these last two years. Her creativity and her work have brought her to the release of her debut EP “Quasi”, which is out today. The 6-track project features some of her previous singles such as the immediate “You’re Good But I’m Better”, the feminist “Propaganda” or the rocking “Trickle Trickle”, a new single called “Coda” and also two new tracks.

The EP is consistent and you will find everything you can adore, or maybe hate, about Kill J: electronic trembling voice, pitched aerobatics, infectious choruses and attitude. “Back Home”, a new track that opens the EP, and “Coda” are maybe a bit generic. We will prefer the closing track “Mama Taught Me Well” that is a real vocal getaway.

Finally, I will confess that I am still waiting for something closer to “Phoenix”, which remains for me an excellent and impressive track.

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]A[/su_dropcap] few months ago, we literally felt in love with Chiara Hunter and her track “War” featuring Seattle based rapper Gifted Gab announcing a promising EP. Well, here is her EP called as her first track “Strange Relationships” with a brand new song called “Hammer”

Over Soundcloud, she defined in a quite clever way her music which is tagged as “Future Funk”. Even if her first track “Strange Relationships” sounds very pop, in a way you can get the funk inspirations in it. Her second track “War” just made us love her even more thanks once again to that amazing mix. With her third track “Hammer”, she is asserting herself into that path since it sounds just impressively funky specially the chorus where she captures a strong Janet Jackson vibe.
