Istanbul’s synthpop purveyors Jakuzi are readying the release of their sophomore album Hata Payı, two years after their impressive debut project Fantezi Müzik. After the lead single “Şüphe“, they’re now unveiling “Yangın” – read “Fire”. As always with the band, the track showcases lush and shimmering synths and an idiosyncratic dark vocal performance floating somewhere between nostalgia and melancholia. About “Yangın”, Jakuzi‘s singer Kutay Soyocak stated:

[su_quote]My life is in a process of development and I am trying to go somewhere I would like to be. As this process goes on, a personal defect of mine distracts my attention and all of a sudden, I start watching it and that stops me. I am getting passive.[/su_quote]

Following up on their exciting debut Fantezi Müzik, Istanbul’s synthpop and post-punk sensation Jakuzi have just announced the release of their second album. According to the press release, Hata Payı – translate as “a part of the mistake” – will unveil a refined and darker side and explore the depths of relationships and the human condition.
