Former Chairlift frontwoman Caroline Polachek will release her solo debut album in two weeks only and we are pretty excited about it. Following up on the excellent “Door” and “Ocean Of Tears“, Polachek recently released a captivating single, entitled “So Hot You’re Hurting My Feelings”. She has now unveiled the accompanying visuals that she choreographed herself and which were co-directed with Matt Copson. In the visuals, Polachek is dancing her heartache away in hell. Watch below.

“So Hot You’re Hurting My Feelings”, “Ocean Of Tears”, and “Door” are all featured in our Best Tracks of 2019 playlist.

Her success train has also included stops such as a spot on Spotify’s Viral Charts, playing a sold-out show in London at the Hoxton Bar & Kitchen, touring with MØ, Rejjie Snow, Crystal Fighters and Anne-Marie.

Lao Ra states that “Bang Boom” is about bamboos and their deceptive strengths. She says, “It might bend, but it won’t break.” Her mantra “girl power in the jungle” also fits well with the description of a bamboo’s unstoppable nature once it has taken roots.
