A pure product of the lockdown, Das Beat have just shared the title track taken from their upcoming debut EP. On “Identität,” the new duo, made up of German actress and vocalist Eddie Rabenberger and Agor of Blue Hawaii, channel the golden age of Giorgio Moroder – the synths are reminiscent of Donna Summer‘s anthem “I Feel Love – as well as the rawness of German post-punk. Pure product of the 2020 lockdown, Das Beat is a Berlin-based new duo comprised of Alexander ‘Agor’ Kerby of Blue Hawaii and theatre actress Eddie Rabenberger. The pair have just announced the release of their debut EP, Identität, which draws from German New Wave, Italo Disco and dance music. These pulsating influences inspired the name of the band and are also very palpable in their playful debut single, “Bubble”.
