Dream-pop project Eli share breakup song “Okay”

eli okay

Hjalt Ross‘ musical project Eli is not really a solo escapade as it also features some members of the music collective LYDTAET, who are by the way his best friends. You might have guessed with their name, but this psyche dream-pop act comes from Denmark and is active since 2014. The title of the track “Okay” is an illusion and you won’t need to ferret out for a long time. The song is, as the artist describes it himself: “a real teen-depressive breakup song”.

Her’s debut a dreamy and new wave track: “Dorothy”

Time for you to discover this Liverpool-based duo called Her’s and which recently released a promising debut track. Bassicaly, “Dorothy” mixes a lot of ideas and inspirations from bands we particularly, such as Ariel Pink, DIIV or Wild Nothing. The track is brand new even if there is a planning 80s new wave vibes all around it!

Yumi Zouma – Keep It Close To Me

Yumi Zouma are going to release their debut LP “Yoncalla” via Cascine on May 27. The first single off the album, “Keep It Close To Me”, is a synth-pop song that takes some distance from the chillwave and dreamy side of the band: The bass is more present and subtly jumps, the hook and the chorus are more produced and punchy! It is a relevant lead single and it maybe announces a change in the creative process of the band from Christchurch.

Anana – Swimmer’s Body Illusion

It is getting harder and harder to ignore the releases of the label Koso since they are all of them pretty impressive. Their last release is the single of Oslo based artist Anana and her dream pop track “Swimmer’s Body Illusion”

Yuuca – Melt

If you are a loyal reader (you are, don’t you?) of HighClouds, you certainly know the Australian beatmaker and producer Feki. You might also know Emily, the artist that was featured on his track “Quiet Minds“. But do you know Yuuca? Well if you know Feki and Emily, you already know one-third of this 6-piece dream pop band which just released “Melt”, its second single.
