But it’s also scary and melancholic,” Thuesen says. Across the record, snuggle blend their love for loose, experimental jamming with moments of vivid storytelling and painterly nostalgia.

Alongside the album news, snuggle have shared their latest single, “Playthings,” a track they describe as “a fever dream, starting with triangle and ghost sounds. It’s about the strange comfort of going in circles with someone.” True to that description, the sinuous song weaves humor and dread into a hazy, R&B-tinged atmosphere, accompanied by a video that mirrors its surreal, looping mood.
