Sigur Rós 6-minute NSFW video for “Óveður” was directed by famous Swedish director Jonas Åkerlund. It is absolutely weird and disturbing!

Recently, the band was broadcasting a 24-hour “slow TV” show named “Route One” which was based on generated loops of this new track. Now that the project has come to an end, the trio shared a video with the final studio version of “Óveður”. It was co-produced by Paul Corley.

The clip was shot in the village of Grindavík on the Reykjanes peninsula. The atmosphere is a bit creepy and it features blood and nude bodies. Jón Þór Birgisson, Georg Hólm, and Orri Páll Dýrason, the members of the band, also appear in the video which was choreographed by another Icelandic artist: Erna Ómarsdóttir.

The track, that is already available on iTunes and Spotify, should be featured on their yet untitled upcoming eighth album.
