[su_dropcap style=”simple”]E[/su_dropcap]very Wednesday on HighClouds, from now until death do us part, we publish the picky playlists of our Brussels’ friend and collaborator Deer Du Bois. He has been demonstrating a real talent in highlighting emerging and talented acts and imposes himself as a real talent-spotter. Every week, his playlist is a sharp and buzzing selection of new discoveries in indie and pop music. And lucky you: we are now your fresh and fun place to weekly seat and savor his delightful “indie.tronic.dream.pop.chill.wave” cocktail. So, do you mind a cup?

This week, sun is back, sun is up so be ready to shake your coconuts with the best indie-pop tracks that Deer Du Bois picked up for you!

Think of the soundtrack to your holiday romance. What would Sandy and Danny listen to Anno 2016? Tell me more? Well listen up to the sensual, warm and beachy “Endless Summer” by the luscious Lion Babe

.Did you get flirtatious at the pool? Then you’ve had your dose of Soleima and got “Wasted”. Time to cool down? Time to discover the young, new singer Happy Sometimes and her cover of “Take Me Out” by Franz Ferdinand.

Feeling chill? Cause we all like Yumi Zouma and the Cyril Hahn remix of their indie pop hit “Keep It Close To Me” to get into the right mood.

And thanks to Highclouds‘ discovery Missio, you won’t forget any detail with “Hey You, Remember My Name“, the most refreshing pop track of the moment.

Sunburnt and happy, “Staring At The Sun” with Little Boots, you’ll return home with one thought on your mind: “Love Is What You Want” from the brand new record “Breakin’ Point” by the Swedish Peter, Bjorn & John.

And with KING, we’d like the summer to last “Forever”!

Lion Babe – Where Do We Go

Pierre Bayet — Tue, 02 Feb 2016 16:47:25 +0000

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]R[/su_dropcap]oar! A few days before the release of their awaited debut album, the lovely duo from Lion Babe shared a video for “Where Do We Go”, the lead single of the album.

The video has a “Luna-Park” ambiance, along colourful and elegant plastic decor that go perfectly with that strong instrumental Disco vibe.

Their relationship is stronger than ever and they’re ready to shine bright this new year.
“Cause a love like mine can’t shine just fine
Without you baby”
”
So where do we go?
Where do we go from here?”

“Where Do We Go” is taken from the debut album “Begin”, out 5th February

Did you see that their collaboration single with Disclosure was #45 of our TOP100 of the best tracks of 2015?

Lion Babe – Where Do We Go

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]L[/su_dropcap]ion Babe are about to (finally) release a debut album. It’s out on January 22nd and it’s called “Begin”. To celebrate it, they released a new song taken from it. Listen to “Where Do We Go” below.

Forget about electro Friday. Lion Babe offer you the perfect disco song to get crazy and be yourself on the dance floor. A song that you won’t get enough for a long moment, for sure!

The Tracklist of “Begin” has not been published yet, but I assume “Where Do We Go” is the third or fourth single, following “Impossible”, “Wonder Woman” and … “Jump Hi” featuring Childish Gambino.
Let’s hope that the amazing “Treat Me Like Fire” is also included. Who knows…

HEY !
In case you didn’t know the duo, you should definitely follow them very closely. I’m sure something big will happen next year.

Bonus :

Did you know that they were featured in Disclosure‘s latest album “Caracal“?
They even did one of the best songs from the album, a song that I cannot get enough. (In my opinion.)

Listen to “Hourglass”:
