After a few months of a much needed break, look who is back! The weekly playlist by curator Free Anckaert

After a few months of a much needed break, look who is back! The weekly playlist by curator Free Anckaert is here with a selection of his favorite tracks.

Our curator scours through hundreds of SoundCloud tracks to find the best new gems by artists that are flying under the radar. Our Brussels-based fellow overwhelms you with a variety of songs that make your head go nuts. This week, he offers us a playlist that smells like a comeback! Here are a few of his favorites:

Femme En Fourrure – Creepers:

“Music made for DJs and catwalks; also: for nightly promenades and oceanside sexin’.” that’s how the Finnish Femme En Fourrure describe themselves. I couldn’t agree more. New album “Body Positive” is a step in a more poppy sound, but still with both feet in the experiment and deep electronica.

Dead Serpent – Eclosión:

Super unknown, that what I can say about this Chilean band. I don’t even remember how I ended up listening to the dark wavy shoegaze from what apparently is the music from a guy called Von Warloc. Mystery.

WULFFLUW XCIV & Nahshi – Latente:

Last year Wulffluw XCIV released an awesome aggressive sounding electronic EP ‘Matanza’. Fan of WWWINGS, Mechatok or KAMBLAM? Then you might take a listen to this “Latente”!

Berlin-based producer M.E.S.H. delivers a surprising banger, “Inspired by True Story”, and takes control of all the dancefloors, from underground clubs to festivals’ main stage.

On his latest track “Inspired by True Story”, M.E.S.H. sounds less abstract and the soundscapes are probably less deconstructed than usual but his sounds did not lose any bit of power. Based on a vocal sample which could satirically shot information processing in our modern societies, the track is first and foremost a savage club anthem. The electroclash and techno beat is pulsating and let no room for inertia. After all, we’re in Berlin…

“Search. Reveal.” is certainly one of the highlights of M.E.S.H.‘s promising career and is a good representation of the concept behind his second LP “Hesaitix”: an unnerving injection into both the social space of club music and the interior space of digital audio fantasy. Some people would use the controversial term of “deconstructed” club music but what does it mean at the end? Let’s put the vocabulary on the side and enjoy the frenetic alien creation of M.E.S.H. instead. Watch the Michael Guidetti-directed video below.

YAS! For his forth week, our brand new playlist curator Free Anckaert – note to native English speakers: yes that’s

YAS! For his forth week, our brand new playlist curator Free Anckaert – note to native English speakers: yes that’s his real name, it’s not a nickname – is back with a selection of his favorite tracks.

Every week, Free scours through hundreds of SoundCloud tracks to find the best new gems by artists that are flying under the radar.

Each Thursday our Brussels-based fellow overwhelms you with a variety of songs that make your head go nuts. But hey, Thursday is the new Friday! Here are a few of his favorites:

Tim Suby – Tripping On Emotions (Feat. Dustin Atlas):

It’s only his second single ever but I already feel this man is going to be BIG! First single “K Goodnight” featuring Jessie Reyez was a bubble gum pop anthem very much in the contemporary latino-upbeat Drake-style. On “Tripping On Emotions”, Tim uses darker synths and more layers into the percussion and vocals which make it just the banger of the week!

Louis The Child – Love Is Alive (feat. Elohim):

2017 might be the year of Louis The Child. The Chicago duo already hit the charts with songs “It’s Strange”, “Weekend (featuring Icona Pop)” and “Fire” and is now back with a new EP “Love Is Alive”. The title track is just the very solid pop song everyone needs for this sunny weather!

Danny L Harle – ILY2 (Charli XCX – Euphoria remix):

Danny L Harle co-wrote Charli XCX’s recent mixtape “Number 1 Angel”, the best pop I’ve heard since too long! Danny wouldn’t be Danny if he gave a (literally) euphoric twist to already one of the most catchy songs of the mixtape.

Leonce – Advent:

“Advent” is the first single from Leonce’s forthcoming EP “Insurgency”. The pulsing and exhilarating beats, rhythm section and melodic “bird” sounds in “Advent” will make you bounce into the weekend!
