South-East London art pop band sky coloured is a collective of talented jazz musicians, including trumpeter and Red Bull Music Academy alumni Emma-Jean Thackray, guitarist Kai Carter, bassist Matt Gedrych as well as their mastermind and singer-songwriter Anthony T Jackson.

Following up on their debut single “in dreams”, Sky Coloured share today a video for the title track of their debut EP in the small hours. In this cold, intriguing new offering, they explore the artificial and temporary sense of connection that one can feel while watching porn. Porn is both a controversial and fascinating topic, especially for Jackson who grew up in secluded religious institutions. These feelings of intimacy and alienation are particularly palpable in the accompanying visuals.

About the video, the director Adrian Axel detailed:

[su_quote]When I first heard the song, I immediately picked up on a feeling of loneliness and thought of the bathroom as an intimate, solitary space. I’m interested in the fascination and discomfort we feel when we see naked bodies on screen, as well as the way gender plays a role in how we view nudity.[/su_quote]
