The strength of the young generation is that they have always lived in a period where Internet made the access possible to a lot of music without bounderies. Never the genres were so obsolete, and many antagonist sounds have found a way to collaborate and create innovative music. Moglii is part of that generation who was always been drowned with different influences being able to understand them and master them perfectly. In “Fantasy” that features his long-time collaborator NOVAA, you can find different influences going from Björk to FKJ proving their genius when it comes to make us scream hysterically while still keeping a chill vibe.

On the other hand, in “Varykino”, Moglii gives free access to his imagination, exploring jazz sounds combined with more straight-forward electronic sounds, making us travel into his universe. It is always hard to create a mystical atmosphere without any vocals, but somehow he manages to make us forget about where we are with a very few elements.

I don’t know what’s more surprising – that DYLN has only 56 soundcloud followers or that she not only writes and sings, but produces too! It must be because she’s a fellow Brooklynite 😉 Though “Better Things” is the only track on her soundcloud page, she gives off the aura of an accomplished pop star. It’s a track that’ll leave you humming the chorus every.fucking.where.you.go. (speaking from experience here) – definitely bright things coming from this rising star

SEV1NE8IGHT (AJ Taylor) – The Man

I’ve been Drake-dancing ever since I found this track – it’s got the traphouse minimalist beat mixed with the braggadocious lyrics. This track is coming out of a new NYC-based crew calling themselves SEV1NE8IGHT, of which AJ Taylor is the masterful emcee on this one. I’m not sure where in NYC these guys are based, but you can be damn certain that they’ll be hearing this track blasting out of my bike speakers in Brooklyn this entire week.

Bad Poetry Club – The Words

These guys seem to have shown up mysteriously this past weekend with this only one track – I’m DEFINITELY not complaining. It’s got a great jam-bandy vibe with solid hip hop and indie influences. Bad Poetry Club‘s sound is a funky mix – imagine a little bit of Kids these Days sprinkled w/a little bit of Brasstracks-esque instrumentation. Though this is the only track they’ve got out, we’re anxiously waiting for the next one.

Moglii – Breath (feat. Island Fox)

Keep an eye on Moglii as he is about to drop his solo debut EP “Naboo” a bit later in 2017 via Majestic Casual Records. We know him since his collaborations with Novaa but lately, this is with UK singer-songwriter Island Fox that he shines in the track “Breath”. The German producer and jazz pianist manages to create a beautiful soundscape, loaded with twisted synths and vocal chops.

Angus Dawson – All The Things I Never Said

First of all, round of applause for the name “Angus” – It will be very hard to forget that one. Second, this Aussie brings such a dreamy, incredibly forlorn vibe to this track – it captured my attention immediately on the first listen. Pay attention to the sax solo that pops up towards the end. Goddamn, how sexy is that?

You’re going to have a hard time trying not to tap your feet to this melodic track. priz does a great job of leading the melody w/his vocals and still leaves space for the instruments to shine. This self-professed “singa” from “Lundun” has got us itching to hear more bangers.

After composing with sounds made by machines, combined with organic sounds such as funny noises like coffee machines, shopping bags or cactuses, we couldn’t keep our ears very far from the producer’s career. About the track, he explained:

Moglii refers to Ben Werchohlad who gives a soulful new twist thanks to his vocals. About the collaboration, Ben explained:

The song is about regrets, and bad decisions. There are moments you have to grasp and those where you should take a look at what you already have. But sometimes that just doesn’t work out and you end up making a decision that you regret. That’s what the lyrics are about. Making a mistake that you’re stuck with and keeps your mind imprisoned.

How to describe “Same”? First, we would say that it is layered with pitch-tuned vocal chops and soft trippy sounds in the back. Then, we would mention the water drops and distant bells. Moglii drops in an eclectic family of instruments and samples to complement Novaa’s sweet voice.

Moglii‘s “Same” drowns your head in a purple haze of mystery and awe, only to be tranced by Novaa’s hypnotic voice.

Moglii is a 23 yr-old producer, singer and jazz pianist. He is also a part of the Moglebaum, a live band that also makes “organic electronic” music. Their style is an experience where indie meets electronic.

Novaa is a talented young singer that also creates a name for herself in fashion and art. She is beautiful. She is stylistically attentive and emits a vibe akin to a European hipster. That is why she coutures pink better than anyone (on a Wednesday). For sure, she has a weird personality and carries an unconventional attitude that we just cannot get enough of!
