She’s back this week with a new single, “Anywhere Else,” a beautifully understated confession, taken from her upcoming debut album Move On With The Year, out February 6, 2026 via Moshi Moshi Records. It was the first song Alice Costelloe wrote for the album, created just after finishing her 2024 EP, and you can hear that sense of ease all the way through, from the soft synth pulses to the recorder melodies and loose, hand-played textures. The track opens with the quietly heavy line, “Please don’t say it’s all for me / I would rather be anywhere else”, and gently unpacks the pull between obligation and the desire to disappear for a moment. As Alice puts it:

“This song felt so easy and natural. All the recorder melodies were the first things I played, and it really felt like I was just writing whatever came to me without worrying about what was cool or what other people were doing. I decided I wanted the whole record to feel like that – to just take the path of least resistance at every turn, in sound and in subject.”

Benin City is the trio comprised of vocalist and poet Joshua Idehen, vocalist Shanaz Dorsett and multi-instrumentalist Tom Leapers. On their new single and video “All Smoke, No Fire”, the collective wants to make a statement. For a year now, London has known a massive clubs, pubs, bars and social spaces shutdowns. Indeed, in 2015, 50% of those spaces were closed, preventing a lot of artists from playing, promoting their music, and living from their art. Their new Shaun James Grant-directed video, as well as the track itself, is a response to that phenomenon.

About the video, Benin City’s Joshua Idehen detailed:

[su_quote]We met up with Shaun Grant; we’d loved his work with Lemonade Money and Mikey Lightfoot. We ranted over pints about Passing Cloud’s demise and gentrification in general, the changes in our respective neighbourhoods and our helplessness. In him we found a twin creative spirit who shared our anger and visual ideas and knew how to present them on camera. It was shot on a single night. We asked our friends – poets, musicians, journalists – to meet us at various times, in front of closed clubs, Brixton Arches and libraries. There were too many. The last voice we got, Ben, was just someone who we’d met whilst filming in front of Carnegie Library. He’d organised a squat party to delay its closing down and he wanted to say something.[/su_quote]

Benin City‘s “All Smoke, No Fire” will be featured on their sophomore LP “Last Night” due to be released on via Moshi Moshi Records.

Sarah Jones is not new to the music scene as she has been playing in several bands, including drumming for Hot Chip and NZCA Lines. Nevertheless, she’s now decided to go solo under the moniker Pillow Person and you can hear already her debut track “Go Ahead”.

Driven by a trippy and wonky electronic production, the track could have been released on PC Music. “This song actually came to me in a dream,” she explained. “I woke up and sang it into my phone. You know those stories about the Beatles doing this (but not into a phone, obviously)? Well, I never thought something so cheesy would ever happen to me. But it did.” There’s indeed a surreal vibe to the track, something that recalls a very colourful and woozy utopia to mind. The track also comes with a video that was shot in Melbourne and that she co-directed with Dscreet. Watch below.

The video shows a sweet compilation of families simply celebrating Christmas in a VCR styled clip. It is like a way to celebrate the holidays that a lot of people seem to hate because of all the drama, staying home with relatives you don’t care about. Stop the cynicism and let’s simply embrace Christmas !
