From the moment Mugun drops his first pitch-warped bar on top of this sample-driven beat from IAMU, it’s evident that apprehension isn’t his style. The vibe here is unapologetic and unyielding, as line after line comes flying out of the speakers with all the ease of a good freestyle – never even wasting time to pause for a hook.

The titular “Pressure” Mugun applies with his latest track is two-fold: a warning shot to his peers to keep up, and a clear statement to listeners that there’s a new name for them to remember. As the self-proclaimed “Samurai that tampers with the sound”, Mugun has set a high standard of slyness and agility for himself to adhere to – something he does adeptly here. Keep an eye out for a new EP from the young emcee dropping this August.
