[su_dropcap style=”simple”]A[/su_dropcap] few months ago, Canadian band Majical Cloudz released their album “Are You Alone?” making it to the 13th place in our Top 100 of last year with their track “Downtown”. They have now shared via a post in their Tumblr Page to announce the release of a 5 tracks EP of songs that didn’t make it to the last album

These songs they explained “didn’t fit on that album for one reason or another” and that “there is a feeling that links them all together”. You can listen to “Are You Alone?” and the EP “Wait & See” together in Spotify below, check the artwork (very similar to the one of the album) and the tracklist

Freja – White Magic Spells

[su_dropcap style=”simple” size=”1″]A[/su_dropcap] while now that danish singer FREJA has been under my sight and she has now released her debut EP “White Magic Spells”. Mixing alternative pop with electro-rock sounds, this EP contains 4 songs, one of them being a remix from Lincoln Jesser

The first time Freja got into my head was thanks to the amazing single “Young Hearts” that has been hitting the radio for a while now. Straight-forward pop music in your way, the song is VERY catchy and it is going to stick in your head for looong.

Lincoln Jesser has turn the very pop song into a more club-shaped one where you can dance screaming the chorus. You can get this remix for free following the soundcloud instructions

She has now revealed the two last tracks from the EP where she explores a more alternative indie part without forgetting her roots as a pop singer. “Lonely” is a down-tempo ballad that could sound like every 80s love song. “Ashes” is more up-tempo reminding me a little bit of a sound that Blondie could have made.
