The accompanying video, conceptualized by Register and edited by Gates Bradley with additional work by Azul Niño, weaves together archival and current footage. Featuring movement by Register and Amy Rose Khoshbin, it’s a layered visual piece that feels alive and intimate.

“To me, this video is a living, breathing piece of art—performance, memory, and movement held in a series of charged visual breaths,” says Register. “It’s the clearest expression yet of the world I’ve been moving toward: where experimental pop, visual performance, and physical expression converge. What Amy Rose Khoshbin and I captured years ago now feels reborn—intimate, visceral, and opening toward something even larger.”

Based in LA, Sarah Register is known for her work with Kim Gordon and as one half of the cult duo Talk Normal. A composer, guitarist, and mastering engineer, she’s shaped the experimental scene from the inside out. With “does it hurt” and “right,” she continues to blur lines between experimental music, emotions, intimacy, and abstraction.

With her soulful, introspective, and atmospheric approach, London’s George Riley delivered one of our favorite projects of 2022 in the form of Running In Waves. The rising singer-songwriter has now announced her new EP, Un​/​limited Love, which she introduced with the single “Elixir.” Produced by Godmode‘s Nick Sylvester, the track features old-school house textures, softly-set keys, and gradually emerging synths, showcasing a dancier side of Riley. With Hudson Mohawke, John FM, and Actress also credited on the 6-track project, Un​/​limited Love is poised to be one of the finest electro-R&B releases of 2023.

Hailing from the Las Vegas desert, Ivana Carrescia has today released her debut EP as Isola, a project that she’s been elaborating alongside Godmode co-founder and famous producer Nick Sylvester. The 7-track record features the previously released single “Said It Again” as well as the minimalist deep house opening cut “Ischia”. Like the rest of the EP, the track sounds both elegant and space-y, hypnotic and ghostly.

Four years ago, when she was known as Gioia and was based in Brooklyn (she’s now relocated to the Las Vegas desert), Ivana Carrescia collaborated with Godmode‘s mastermind and producer Nick Sylvester on her Gioia EP. The two of them have now linked up again for the EP1, her first release as ISOLA that will also be published on the famous boutique label that unearthed Shamir, Yaeji and Channel Tres. The 7-track project is introduced by “Said It Again”, a metronomed yet elegant electronic track which combines glassy vocals, musique concrète influences and a minimal house beat. In a few weeks, Compton-born producer Channel Tres will unveil his sophomore EP, which will follow up on his 2018’s self-titled debut. So far, we’ve heard two singles, “Brilliant Nigga” and “Sexy Back Timberlake”. He is now back with a new offering, “Black Moses”, which also features Baltimore’s rapper JPEGMAFIA and production credits by Godmode’s mastermind Nick Sylvester. The track is a reference to American soul artist Isaac Hayes. Channel Tres explained on Zane Lowe’s radio show, where the track was premiered: “Chains that once represented bondage and slavery now can be a sign of power and strength and sexuality and virility”. Following up on his new single “Glide”, producer Channel Tres has given visual treatment to “Topdown”, a track taken from his debut EP. The video of this suave and hypnotic house track was directed by Anthony Sylvester, the brother of Godmode‘s mastermind Nick Sylvester. Watch it below.

Today, we introduce you to Channel Tres, a Lynwood-based producer and songwriter, who is debuting solo via GODMODE. The artist, who already wrote for the likes of major acts like Kehlani, has just unveiled a club banger named “Controller”. Co-written with the label’s mastermind Nick Sylvester, the track is a percussion-driven slice of house music with a massive bassline. Channel Tres‘ deep voice is reminiscent of both Chicago house classics and the premises of the hip-hop era. It comes with a Goodwin-directed video which was filmed in his native neighbourhood of Compton and that you can watch below.
