In their first video since 2009, Portishead goes political witht their ABBA‘s cover of “SOS”

With this cover, Portishead brings the ABBA‘s track to the darkness, especially with the strong and political ending of the video. It is their first track since 2009.

In this song, produced by Erick Arc Elliott, Espa takes influences in 90s trip-hop like Portishead or Tricky and modern R&B. The video matches perfectly this kind of atmosphere where vintage images are going upside-down. She has already shown in the past the importance she gives to her imagery and its closed relationship with music. Very cinema-inspired, Espa looks mysteriously beautiful.
