A producer, vocalist and DJ based in Melbourne, Pretty Girl returned today with a new banger, “All Away,” that will make you cry on the dancefloor. “I started writing and making All Away just before I left Australia to do my first international tour across the UK and Europe,” she stated. “I felt like I was on the precipice of my life changing for so many reasons, which I think invited the tone of the song- it’s kind of desperate/hanging on/charged with emotional energy and momentum. I wanted to make a more passionate song after making lo-fi-esque music for years. I worked on the song throughout my four months in London, finishing it once I had returned home to Melbourne and let the dust settle. I think you can hear these themes in the song- excitement and anticipation, but also some tension, a fight for control, and doubt.”
