L.A. music-sweat-hearts Sofi Tukker made the post-summer banger of this year by remixing Julietta‘s “Beach Break”. Rising Belgian stars Beffroi stand strong and fierce on their new single “Jane”, with no beat left un-turned.

Rainbow Chan – Nest

Arnaud Marty — Wed, 16 Mar 2016 11:46:18 +0000

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]W[/su_dropcap]ritten, sang and produced by Sydney-based but Honk-Kong-raised producer Rainbow Chan, “Nest” is not a normal song about post-love story. On a pop/R&B soundtrack, that sometimes pleasantly reminds us Solange‘s “Losing You”, the artist keeps on singing that it is not enough to make her lover feel good. But the song is not a sad song, the energy is positive and you almost want to dance on it.

The artist, who described herself as a fervent collector of sounds, is active since 2011, year when she took out the FBi Radio’s Northern Lights Competition. Rainbow Chan is now ready to release soon her debut album, “Spacings”.

“The record is about distance, impossible intimacies and things that relentlessly collapse upon themselves. Not shying away from pop tropes, Rainbow fragments and reconfigures the familiar into strange mosaic pieces. Warped tones reminiscent of early Japanese electronic producers rub against modern RnB hooks. Most compelling are her vocal arrangements which oscillate between choral, soulful and the post-human. It is her most confident and refined work yet. Spacings will be released on Silo Arts & Records in 2016″.

It is most than probable that Nest will be part of “Spacings.” You can watch the Hyun Lee-directed video below:
