True to the HighClouds spirit, we’ve once again tried to shine a light on overlooked releases and new or under-the-radar artists alongside some more familiar names. And yes… for the second year the same artist is topping our Best Songs list. At this point, it’s safe to say we’re obsessed. All of the tracks featured here (and many others) are also gathered in our Spotify playlist, that you can find below.

Thank you for reading, listening, and sharing music with us throughout 2025. We wish you a beautiful end of the year, and we’ll be back very soon in 2026 to share even more amazing music with you.

Reggie Devoyage‘s newest offering “Down Town” dives right into the chaos of city life. It’s a retro synth-pop jam layered with lo-fi disco grooves and just enough existential dread to keep things interesting. There’s something magnetic in the way it all comes together — jarring FX, dramatic orchestral stabs, and a pulse that mirrors the restlessness of the streets. “Down Town is an urban jungle fever dream,” the band says. And honestly? That description nails it.

The track’s gritty VHS-style video — shot in just one day by Janosch Pugnaghi, who already worked with HighClouds favorites John Moods and Discovery Zone, leans all the way into the song’s chaotic, nostalgic energy. It feels like flipping through a scrapbook of neon-lit nights and blurred emotions.

With more singles in the works, local shows coming up, and an EP planned for later this year, Reggie Devoyage is building something special: a dreamy, offbeat world where synths shimmer, feelings spill over, and the city never stops moving. Watch the video below and stream the track via our Best Songs of 2025 playlist.

Their debut single, “Golden Times,” is a perfect mix of charm and introspection, wrapping classic pop nostalgia in a tongue-in-cheek vibe that’s as self-aware as it is endearing. The track captures the bittersweet thrill akin to a madeleine de Proust, stirring memories of past loves and familiar places. As they put it: “‘Golden Times’ feels like a stroll through a well-loved neighborhood, where each corner might unveil a memory worth revisiting.”
