Stockholm’s artist Emil Madrell, aka Tiny Elephant, is back with two new tracks: “Maniac” and “Escalate”.

Be ready because Tiny Elephant plans to release a lot of songs in 2018 and he already dropped the two first ones of this long series. Both tracks were recorded in a small studio down the street where the artist used to live in Stockholm. “Maniac” is a bedroom indie track with subtle psychedelic arrangements and skillful guitar playing. Even if the track deals with a “not so pleasant time last year”, the rendition is chill and smooth and reminds us of Unknown Mortal Orchestra or Cale Hawkins at times. Lovely.

Moutain Bird, aka Adam Öhman, is a producer from Stockholm who already had two Spotify viral singles this year. Yesterday, the artist shared his future bass remix of Tingsek‘s “Miss Brand New”, showing that future bass is not always a crazy festival-tailored genre. Listen to it below.

Swedish duo Grapell are back with enchanting new song ‘We Can Only Blame Ourselves’, the second single taken from their upcoming debut album ‘Crier’.

Stockholm-based duo Grapell, formed by best friends Emil Erstrand and Nils Nygårdh, are one of the most interesting acts of Sweden music scene at the moment. They received a lot of positive feedbacks from the blogosphere so far and their previous singles hit the +5 million Spotify streams so far. Their songs are unapolegetically retro and draw inspiration from varied and soulful genres of the 60s, 70s and 80s to eventually turn them into powerful, modern and irresistible pop tracks. Their latest single ‘We Can Only Blame Ourselves’ is no exception. The singing is simply infectious and the groovy track sounds like the soundtrack of a romantic comedy blockbuster.

Grapell‘s debut album ‘Crier’ will be out on November 3 via Roll Call Records

Originally, her family is from the Philippines. As such, her music got inspired by the sea, its darkness and completeness. About the track, the artist explained:

[su_quote]

“Blue Whale” is inspired and influenced by different cultures and nature. My ancestors and relatives are a fisherfolk living on the oceans for generations. We’ve been feeding and depending on it for so long now and “Blue Whale” is my way to show appreciation of the ocean.

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]T[/su_dropcap]he music of FRÖ speaks by itself. In her single “Shout!”, you imagine the far North of Sweden and the small town where she used to live. You also visualize the mountains and the woods that surround it. You can almost see this young artist running there during the endless summer nights when she was a carefree child. Even though FRÖ moved to Stockholm the place she calls home is still present and important in her life and for sure remains a fruitful source of inspiration for her music that we, by the way, would qualify so far as Aurora Borealis pop music.

“Shout!”, which was co-written with TEN music group’s Emanuel Email Abrahamsson and Jerker Olov Hansson, has both the beauty of the ephemeral and the strength of a battle. In the song, FRÖ‘s crystalline voice flares up like a small flame in the wind that could fade out at any moment.

She sings:
[su_quote]All the strings depend on one another, I could break all of a sudden, All of a sudden[/su_quote]

FRÖ’s track “Shout” is both strong and fragile:

But at the same time, it is impossible not to hear the epic march protecting this place she sings about; a place of freedom, of intimacy or of release. This place that she is ready to defend and you can hear it through the uplifting instrumental and the foolproof and epic chorus that will motivate and enroll everyone.

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/249465827″ params=”auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true” width=”100%” height=”450″ iframe=”true” /]

FRÖ is a complete artist and she expresses herself through various forms of art such as such as photography, handcraft and different forms of writing. By the way, next month, on April 21, she will host a vernissage in Stockholm where she will be hanging some photos, playing the song and releasing the video as well. From that day, “Shout!” will also be available on Spotify, iTunes, and other services.

What’s coming next? More songs to be released and we can’t wait to hear them. While waiting for it, you can still follow her on Facebook or on Instagram.
