Ahead of the release of her new album next year, British Iranian songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer TĀLĀ wants to keep up the momentum now that she is back on track after a difficult separation and the departure from her previous label. On this blank page, the artist is writing a whole new chapter that she recently introduced to us with her song “Bedtime“. Although summer is comming to an end, TĀLĀ wants to prolong the fun with her intoxicating new track, which was co-produced with Beat Butcha. Having fun and dancing are definitely a way to move on and with the Brazilian samba-like beats of “On Top”, one can’t do anything else than that!

Coming off the heels of launching her own label with standalone single “Stay Here In The Sun” featuring Naughty Boy, TĀLĀ is back and undoubtedly stronger than ever. Her new song “Bedtime” marks her return from studio hibernation and announces her debut album. In short, it’s the start of a new era for the South London native.

Indeed, after an “awful breakup”, she quit her label and deleted her previous body of work. Consequently written therapeutically, the cathartic single “Bedtime” details the breakdown of this long-term relationship. Possessing the right equilibrium of both a traumatic yet a confident tone, TĀLĀ‘s honeyed vocals spit badass lines such as “The only thing you’re fucking is your ego” reflecting the raw emotion that she was going through.

With co-production from two Toronto multi-platinum producers Neenyo and Topflr [Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR], the singer-producer’s sound edges towards pop territory with modern R&B textures. Something that might surprise her fans as her previous projects were seens as more experimental. Regardless, “Bedtime” confirms she is back on her feet, with the big leagues locked in her sights. It isn’t bedtime for TĀLĀ yet.

Her style is self-described as “dark blue oriental r&b” and she’s right. Those beats in “Escalate” will clearly transport you to an oriental palace fed by the love of R&B. Something that could get close to TĀLĀ‘s production.
She told the Fader about the song, “‘Escalate’ is about the lack of wisdom or the lack of sense certain people have”.
Tsar B offered a quality and very promising debut single, produced by Oliver Symons and Tsar herself.
We’re glad to have such talented artist representing the R&B scene of Belgium and we cannot wait to hear more from her.
