Tye James calls for resistance in new song "War"

After Trump started his presidency, many artists decided to rise their voices to protest against his policies towards minorities. Newcomer Tye James shared a new track “War” and if you buy it, all proceeds will go directly to the Trevor Project and/or the ACLU.

As a part of the LGBTQI community, Tye is concerned about Trump‘s executive order for “Religious Freedom” (as all of us) and all of the policies against women and immigrants. About the track, he explained over an email:

As a gay man and the son of an immigrant, I am angered by the executive orders Trump is enacting … I know it’s not much but this is a song of empowerment and a call to resist.

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]A[/su_dropcap] few months ago, we literally felt in love with Chiara Hunter and her track “War” featuring Seattle based rapper Gifted Gab announcing a promising EP. Well, here is her EP called as her first track “Strange Relationships” with a brand new song called “Hammer”

Over Soundcloud, she defined in a quite clever way her music which is tagged as “Future Funk”. Even if her first track “Strange Relationships” sounds very pop, in a way you can get the funk inspirations in it. Her second track “War” just made us love her even more thanks once again to that amazing mix. With her third track “Hammer”, she is asserting herself into that path since it sounds just impressively funky specially the chorus where she captures a strong Janet Jackson vibe.
