Wedding's new Jobseeker EP is released via Vasen.

We’ve found another band to add to the growing list of captivating artists coming out of Copenhagen, and their name is Wedding. The Copenhagen-based trio thrives in the blurry space between styles, crafting music that’s dark, visceral and straight to the point. Not quite techno, not quite ambient, but something compellingly suspended in the haze between the two. Their sound feels like a digital collage of harsh realities and fragmented truths, shaped by sharp production choices and a strong emotional instinct. There’s always a sense of tension and release in what they do, a push and pull between raw intensity and moments of surprising warmth that keeps you leaning in.

Their sophomore EP, Jobseeker, out via the label Vasen, founded in 2023, picks up the thread from last year’s Sunshower while confidently stretching the project in new directions. The tracks feel tightly driven and purposeful, carrying forward momentum and a subtle sense of longing, but with a clearer, more high-energy edge. Punchy rhythms rooted in jungle, big beat and rave energy bring a physical, almost kinetic drive, while airy pads and ethereal vocal chops soften the edges and keep everything feeling human and dreamy. Add in touches of rock texture, syncopated structures and the occasional trance-leaning melodic turn, and you end up with four tracks that feel anthemic yet atmospheric and emotional.

Stream our favourite two tracks off of the EP below, and check the full 4-track project via Soundcloud.

Hailing from Manchester, indie project WEDDING are ready to release their debut LP “Mania Whatever” in March and the lead

Hailing from Manchester, indie project WEDDING are ready to release their debut LP “Mania Whatever” in March and the lead single “18” has now a video.

WEDDING is the project of Berlin-born songwriter Thomas Craig. The artist was joined by Rory Cook, Rich James, Joey Frances and An-Tim Nguyen and the formation is now located in Manchester. After one year of work (and high and lows), WEDDING are now ready to share their work. Their debut LP is called “Mania Whatever” and was influenced by ‘Spacemen 3, Big Star and Phil Spector’s grandiose production’ according to the press release.

The lead single “18” is a very important song for Craig. As he explained:

[su_quote]’18’ was the first song written for Wedding when I was still playing guitar in the London band Charles How. It was something I played in sound check when we toured Europe. It means a lot to me as the first song that helped me look back on and package away a pretty bleak period of bullying and abuse in school.[/su_quote]

Watch WEDDING‘s video for ’18’ below.

WEDDING‘s debut LP “Mania Whatever” is set to be released on March 23 via Stockholm label Maternal Voice. They will also be playing in London (The Shacklewell Arms, March 23) and in their new home of Manchester (The Castle Hotel, March 24). Meanwhile, connect with the band on Facebook, Bandcamp, Instagram, Soundcloud and Twitter.
