Vök‘s sophomore album In The Dark is due out March 1, 2019 on Nettwerk Music Group.
Icelandic electronic dream-pop trio Vök have shared the third single of their upcoming sophomore album. Following up on “Night & Day” and “Autopilot,” the buoyant “Spend The Love” combines their traditional dreamy arrangements with a neo-disco fever. Believe it or not, this golden and glittering pop tune is part of an album named In The Dark. About “Spend The Love,” frontwoman Margrét Rán stated:
Originally written to be a ‘gay’ anthem song, ‘Spend The Love’ is our new dance song which tackles the theme of anti-consumerism. There is a humour in it and a hypocrisy. We thought it was ideal to release it prior to the holiday season! Spend your love, not your money!
