WOLFE – Groupie

Hip-hop artist from Virginia, WOLFE, has released a new soundtrack single that is called “Groupie”. The song also featured Price.

“Groupie” represents the ideology of a woman who has grown up being taught from a young age by society what she should see in a man; this false representation turns her into the definition of a “Groupie” girl. Furthermore, it emphasizes how this path can lead to a dark path; instead of focusing on a man women should first focus on cultivating their skills.

As the artist wrote us:

he song illustrates how this social conditioning can lead many women down a dark path due to their isolated focus on finding a man instead of cultivating their own talents to chase their own career dreams. I think its very important, especially in the hip-hop genre, to shed light on these subtle messages that are still communicated to women about being ‘less-than’ or ‘reliant on’ a man. These messages are delivered through entertainment media, various religions, and other societal factors.
